Collate a double-sided scan
Many office scanners scan only one side. Scan the stack twice — fronts, then backs — and get one document with the pages in the right order.
Pages are arranged automatically. Drag a page if something is out of place.

How to collate a double-sided scan
- Scan the stack front side up and save the PDF. Turn the whole stack over and scan the backs.
- Drop both files here: the fronts first, then the backs. One PDF with the fronts followed by the backs works too.
- The pages are put in order at once. Check them, rotate or remove extra pages if needed and press Save PDF.
When you turn a stack over, the backs come out in reverse order: the back of the last page is scanned first. That’s why the option The back sides were scanned in reverse order is on by default. If the pages still look mixed up, untick it.
Got empty backs on one-sided sheets? Remove them in Remove blank pages after saving.
Frequently asked questions
What if I have one PDF with all the pages?
Drop just that file: the first half is treated as fronts, the second half as backs.
What if the number of fronts and backs differs?
The extra pages are placed at the end. You can drag them to the right place before saving.
Does it work for documents with photos?
Yes, pages are copied without changes, so quality is kept.
